A singlespeed bike has only one gear, which means the rider can coast and stop pedaling while the bike is still in motion. On the other hand, a fixie (or fixed-gear) bike has a single gear as well, but the pedals are directly connected to the rear wheel, so the rider cannot coast and must always pedal as long as the bike is moving. This means that on a fixie, the rider has more control over the bike's speed and can use their legs to slow down or stop the bike. **

To determine if the rear wheel of your fixie singlespeed bike is flat, you can visually inspect the tire to see if it looks deflated. You can also try to spin the wheel and see if it rotates smoothly or if it feels like it's dragging. Additionally, you can press on the tire to see if it feels firm or if it easily compresses. If you suspect that the rear wheel is flat, you can use a tire pressure gauge to check the air pressure and inflate it if necessary. **
